BT - BRITISH TELECOM and the US company AT&T have decided on the break-up of their joint venture, CONCERT, set up in 1998 to supply telecommunications services to big corporate customers. Their decision will lead to the loss of 2300 jobs (from the 4000-strong workforce), half of them in the United Kingdom. CONCERT had been losing business and is expected to make a loss of £550 million in 2001. The two parent companies will also scrap their joint venture in Canada, with AT&T buying up BT's...
