16/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - The President of the EU Council, Guy Verhofstadt, was presented on Monday evening with a copy of "A Wake-up Call for Europe" by Jacques Delors. Mr Verhofstadt said it was an important and timely document and thanked the signatories for urging the European Council of Laeken to adopt an "ambitious declaration" on the future of Europe.
