Plea by development ministers of Fifteen for Union to undertake to increase its public aid to development and for humanitarian aid to Afghanistan to be funded with additional resources

Brussels, 11/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - The absolute necessity to increase global public aid to development and the duty of the Union's Member States to show the example by respecting their undertaking to allocate 0.7% of their GNP to that cause was unanimously stressed by the development co-operation ministers of the Fifteen, in Brussels on Wednesday.
