11/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - According to Eurostat, the gross domestic product (GDP) of the euro zone and that of the Union (EU15) increased by 0.1% in the second quarter 2001. Economic growth stood at 0.5% in both zones in the first quarter. Despite a slow-down, household consumption remains the main cause of th4egrowth in GDP.
