05/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - The World Trade Organisation (WTO) will be ruling before the end of the year on the derogation requested by the EU and the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries (ACPs) for the preferential regime granted to the ACPs. The decision to examine the request was finally taken on Friday. The EU and ACPs are calling on the WTO to issue its ruling as an urgent matter, before the Doha Summit.
