ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) publishing

The UK's private equity firm APAX PARTNERS is in talks to team up with rival CINVEN over a deal to buy the French company VIVENDI's professional publications for EUR 2 bil. CINVEN, which agreed last month to buy VIVENDI's trade publications, is thought to have planned to bring in a partner because of the deal's size and the amount of future investment the business will probably require.
