Brussels, 27/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has sent reasoned opinions to Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands asking them no longer to grant VAT exemptions on deliveries made by barges on international trips. According to the Commission, these exemption, notably on the delivery of fuel, are incompatible with the Sixth Directive relating to the VAT system.
