The consortium headed by the Spanish group ENDESA (45%) associated with the banking group BSCH - BANCO SANTANDER CENTRAL HISPANO (40%) and the Italian services company ASM BRESCIA (15%) has won the bidding for acquisition of ELETTROGEN, the electricity production company put up for sale by Italian ENEL. ELETTROGEN was sold for EUR 2.63 billion, ENEL announced. This is the first of the production companies that ENEL is to sell in the context of liberalisation of the Italian electricity market.
