24/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - The prize for the Europe at school 2001 competition was handed on 20 July at the seat of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, to 28 youths aged from 17 to 21 and from 14 countries, in recompense for the works they have undertaken on the theme "A better environment - a better Europe". Thanks to their artistic and written creations, these youths contribute towards emphasising the value of conscience and the European dimensions in the schooling and educational environment. This competition is organised under the joint patronage of the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Foundation for Culture.
