09/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - According to AFP, the Prefect of Aquitaine said there was "no immediate financial blocking" but just a "threat of blocking" of Structural Fund intervention in Aquitaine for non-compliance by France with the Natura 2000 Directive (designation of protected sites: see EUROPE of 7 July, p.11).
