Romano Prodi and Poul Nielson assure Eritrean President Afwerki of Union's readiness to support continuation of peace efforts

Brussels, 28/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The implementation of the peace agreement signed in December 2000 between Eritrea and Ethiopia and the future of the cooperation for develop between the Union and Eritrea have been, on Wednesday in Brussels, at the heart of the meetings between the President of Eritrea, Isaias Afwerki, the Commissioner President, Romano Prodi and Commissioner Poul Nielson (Development and Humanitarian Aid).
