Internal Belgian negotiations on location for future European Summits - Discussions in Gothenburg

Brussels, 14/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt (VLD - Flemish Liberal) announced his intention of constructing a new building, located in no man's land between the Juste Lipse (EU Council building) and the European Parliament, to host future European Summits, that in future will be held in Brussels, in compliance with the declaration annexed to the Nice Treaty.
