Parliament adopts with crushing majority report by Di Lello Funuoli on mutual recognition of decision in penal matters

Strasbourg, 23/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - 103 votes for, 2 against and 5 abstentions. Thus, it is with a crushing majority that the European Parliament adopted, last Thursday, the report by Guiseppe Di Lello Finuoli (GUE/NGL, Italy) on the Commission Communication concerning the mutual recognition of final decisions in penal matters, which should become the corner stone of legal cooperation, within the EU both in civil and criminal matters.
