In less than two months, Belgium will be taking over the EU Presidency from Sweden. Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt, Foreign Minister Louis Michel and Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Annemie Neyts presented early May the broad lines of the Belgian Presidency's ambitious programme (see EUROPE of 4 May, pages 6 and 7).
