Brussels, 08/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Institute of Public Administration (IEAP) is organising a seminar on 17 and 18 May bringing together speakers from throughout Europe to debate legal problems raised by the development of electronic commerce at the level of the continent. It is addressed, notably, at judges, regulators, lawyers and consultants. Topics to be covered include: contract law, copyright and trademark law, consumer protection, competition law, privacy and data security, e-payment and digital signatures. IEAP states that topics that will be more closely examined will be problems relating to domain-grabbing, website design, distant selling, e-contracting and electronic cash.
