Brussels, 19/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - During the public hearing on "European governance" last Friday (see EUROPE of 16 March, p.5), Christine Roger, Chef de Cabinet for Commissioner Michel Barnier, clearly separated the exercise of the White Paper that the Commission is preparing on "European governance" from the hypothesis of establishing a list of powers attributed to the Union, Member States, and regional and local entities respectively.
