Justice Ministers meet Eurojust prosecutors

Brussels, 19/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - Thursday's Justice and Home Affairs Council also provided an opportunity for the EU15 Justice Ministers to meet fifteen prosecutors belonging to pro-Eurojust, the provisional unit for cooperation between justice systems, which began its work on 1 March, pending the end of negotiations on the permanent Eurojust, by the end of the year, hopes the Commission. The 15 members of "pro-Eurojust", explained their president, are working each according to his/her national law, to seek to resolve cases which concern several countries (15 cases are said to have already been forwarded since 1 March), and to facilitate coordination between packages. They meet three times a week on Council premises.
