ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

Through the intermediary of its subsidiary PHILIPS LIGHTING, the Dutch PHILIPS will sell to its partner MATSUSHITA BATTERY INDUSTRIAL its 50% stake in their Belgian PMBC - PHILIPS MATSUSHITA BATTERY CORPORATION and Polish PMBP joint ventures, for EUR 42 million. These two companies will manufacture batteries.
