The CNP - COMPAGNIE NATIONALE A PORTEFEUILLE will acquire CAIXA SEGUROS from the employee pension fund of CAIXA for EUR 585 million. CAIXA SEGUROS is the sixth largest Brazilian insurance company according to total premiums (EUR 489 million in 2000).
