Paris, 16/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Elysée has announced that President of the Republic, Jacques Chirac, and Prime Minister Lionel Jospin will be in Nice on 26 February to sign the Treaty of Nice for the fifteen Member States of the European Union. The signing ceremony will be held at the end of the day at the Préfecture of the Alpes-Maritimes department, in France, states the Elysée.
Signatories from Member Sates other than the French Presidency of the time will be the foreign ministers, who may be accompanied by their representatives (as was the case in Amsterdam, for example) at the Intergovernmental Conference for revision of the Treaty.
