16/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - Following the political agreement marked by the Employment and Social Affairs Council last 27 and 28 November, the Council has just formally adopted its common position on the draft decision establishing a Community action programme to encourage Member State cooperation in the fight against social exclusion. This common position made the theme of social inclusion one of its priorities (see EUROPE of 29 November 2000, p.8).
