02/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - Belgian Socialist Jacques Santkin has, from 1 February, replaced Freddy Thielemans in the Socialist Group of the European Parliament, the latter having become mayor of Brussels. The new MEP has been minister for social integration, health and the environment, deputy and senator.
