Meeting of Ruud Lubbers at European Commission

Brussels, 02/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - Next Monday, the new United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Ruud Lubbers (former Dutch Prime Minister) will have a series of meetings with the European Commission, where he will meet the President Romano Prodi and the Commissioners for Development Poul Nielson, Enlargement Gunter Verheugen and Justice and Home Affairs Antonio Vitorino.

The successor to Mrs Ogata will also meet on this occasion the NATO Secretary General, Lord Robertson, and, for the future EU Council Presidency, the Belgian Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Guy Verhofstadt and Louis Michel.
