Monti welcomes progress made in FIA/Formula One affair prejudging positive solution to dispute

Brussels, 29/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - After a meeting with the supporters of the so-called FIA/Formula One affair, namely, Max Mosley, President of the Fédération Internationale Automobile (FIA) and Bernie Ecclestone, CEO of the Formula One Administration (FOA), Commissioner Monti, responsible for competition, welcomed, as we pointed out earlier, the "significant progress" made during these talks which open the road to finding a resolution to this long-lasting dispute.
