Commission immediately frees EUR 3 million in emergency aid for earthquake victims in India

Brussels, 29/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - In reaction to the Friday's earthquake in India, the European Commission announced that it was prepared to immediately free up to EUR 3 million in humanitarian aid, as an initial contribution in humanitarian aid, as an initial contribution towards the undertaking of rescue operations in the State of Gujarat, the most heavily affected by the earthquake.
