Next Association Council must discuss human rights, says EP

Strasbourg, 18/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - Last Thursday, the European Parliament adopted a resolution in which it is concerned over the attacks to the functioning of the Tunisian Human Rights League and other organisations fighting for the rule of law such as the CNLT, as well as the conditions of hunger striking prisoners of conscience, it invites the EU to do its utmost to gain the respect for democratic freedoms and human rights in Tunisia.
