Brussels, 08/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - On request from "Medecins du Monde", a "Passport for freedom" was awarded to a Chechen doctor and former Health Ministers with the Maskhadov government Oumar Khambiev for his action in favour of the victims of the war in Chechnya. Mr Khambiev, who was himself victim of several attacks against his human right after having denounced the use of new weapons of war against the people he treats, is presently in France, but wants to return to Chechnya to carry out his job.
