31/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - A United Nations Panel approved Iraq's plan on Monday of being paid in euros rather than dollars for its oil exports. The Iraqi Ambassador to the EU, Saeed Hasan, said that his country was ready to make this move on 6 November rather than 1 November, as initially planned, saying that this would give the UN time to proceed with the necessary arrangements.
