ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) fibre optics

The British telecommunications group C&W - CABLE AND WIRELESS PLC will invest USD 1.4 billion over five years in the installation of a fibre optics network in Japan and is considering creating 1,000 new jobs in its local subsidiary. The project plans to link 80 cities and towns.
