ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) privatisation

- Romania: The Romanian Transport Minister announced the privatisation of a 52.2% slice of the capital in the airline TAROM in which the State holds a 95.32% stake of the capital. TAROM has a fleet of 22 planes, employs 2.879 employees and carried 979,000 passengers in 1999.
