Strasbourg, 25/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - In the context of its debate on Tuesday on the Duhamel (constitutionalisation) and Gil-Robes (reinforced cooperation) reports, the European Parliament also invoked Article 158 of the Treaty with regards to the statute of islands, following a question asked by Mariotto Segni (Union of the Europe of Nations), who wanted the Council to solve a problem stemming from the substantial differences existing between the linguistic versions of this Article.
