European Commission answers Latin American criticisms

Brussels, 06/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Commissioner for Agriculture, Franz Fischler, met the Panamanian Minister for Trade and Industry as well as representatives from Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Honduras, namely the countries that strongly criticised the latest proposal from the Commission to the Council concerning the import regime for bananas.
