The Finnish metallurgist OUTOKUMPU will acquire, for EUR 204 million, the Norwegian zinc producer NORZINC, equal subsidiary between multinational RIO TINTO and the Canadian BOLIDEN. The zinc factory of NORZINC has an annual production capacity of 150,000 tonnes and for the first six months of this year a turnover of EUR 100 million. The zinc production division of OUTOKUMPU had a turnover of EUR 325 million in 1999.
