Luxembourg, 06/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank granted three loans to Finland:
- One global loan of EUR 100 million to Okobank, for projects lead by SMEs, the Okobank had already benefited from a credit line of EUR 35 million.
- One global loan of EUR 25 million to Finnvera, for projects carried out by SMEs. Finnvera had already benefited from a credit line of EUR 16 million.
- One loan of 100 million to the Metsa-Botnia paper paste factory, so as to partially finance the modernisation of the paper paste factory of Joutseno and its upgrading from an environmental point of view", indicates the EIB in its press release. The investments financed should enable the factory to increase by 30% its production capacity to reach 420,000 tonnes per year, while modernising its installations to reduce polluting emissions and cover its own energy needs, adds the EIB.
