Commission authorises acquisition of Societe des Aciers d"Armature pour Beton (France) by Riva (Italy)

Brussels, 30/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Commission gave the go-ahead to the acquisition of the Societe des Aciers d'Armature pour le Beton (SAM) by the Italian group Riva Acciaio SpA. Significant steel producer present in the sectors for flat and long steel products, Riva more specifically produces machine wire and steel reinforcements made from machine wire and used in the construction industry.
