Commission authorises investigation of joint venture between Sextant and Diehl in the avionics sector

Brussels, 30/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - As already indicated, the European Commission gave the go ahead for the creation of a joint venture between Sextant (France) and Diehl (Germany) in the avionics sector. This new company will combine the activities of VDO-L, former joint venture of the two partners, and those of Diehl in the sector for control and navigation systems. 100% subsidiary of Thomson-CSF, Sextant is specialised in electronics and defence systems.
