Lamy clarifies EU stance on social, environmental, competition, etc. chapters of envisaged new round of international trade negotiations

Brussels, 10/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - Following a stop-off in Oporto for the informal meeting of the Union's Trade Ministers (on 18 March), European Commissioner Pascal Lamy will fly off to Brazil on 19 March where he will pursue his efforts at rallying the developing world around the cause of a new round of negotiations on world trade liberalisation.
