Commission allows Celestica (Onex group) to take over part of the activities of IBM in Italy and Rochester (United States)

Brussels, 28/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has allowed Celestica (of the Canadian group Onex Corporation) to take exclusive control of the production of electronic cards for IBM computer systems and servers in Vimercate and Sanrta Colomba in Italy and Rochester, in Minnesota. The European competition services considered that "the operation will give rise to a small increase in market shares only in the sector of electronic manufacturing services for original equipment...
