The British firm TETLEY TEA (teabags) has been taken over by TATA TEA (Indian group TATA INDUSTRIAL with an annual turnover of over $8 billion), the second largest Indian tea group with a national market-share of 23%, for £271 million. In the context of this operation, TATA TEA is to set up a subsidiary in the United Kingdom.
