Brussels, 09/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - At the initiative of the European Public Service Federation (FPPE), a colloquium entitled "A new Europe for new Globalisation" will be held on 3 and 4 March in Brussels (Charlemagne building of the European Commission, 170 rue de la Loi). Challenging the integration of the world economy under the thrust of increasingly concentrated financial capital which evinces the political authority from the economic field, the organisers will seek to discern how the EU must be structured and behave in order to promote the emergence of a "new globalisation" in which peoples and individuals would be the actors. Three working sessions are planned: - energy, economy and trade, under the chairmanship of Prof. Michel Beaud and in the presence, among others, of Dr Hermann Scheer (member of the Bundestag and President of Eurosolar) and Prof. Riccardo Petrella; - finance and agriculture under the chairmanship of Prof. Nagels; - institutions and culture under the chairmanship of Prof Lucio Levi and in the presence, among others, of Dario Fo.
