According to Commissioner Mario Monti the problem of book price fixing in Germany and Austria is on verge of being resolved

Brussels, 09/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - "It is a book that will be closed" declared, on Wednesday, the European Commissioner for Competition, Mario Monti, in announcing a "very close" solution, in his eyes, to the problem of the setting of prices for book in Germany and Austria.
