ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

Germany's BAYER and RÖHM, subsidiaries of DEGUSSA-HÜLS, will be merging their European plastic sheet activities within their existing joint subsidiary MAKROFORM. BAYER will own the majority of the capital, which until now has been 50-50 owned. With this deal, the company's annual turnover is expected to exceed EUR 100 million, with a workforce of 300.
