Half-yearly political dialogue meeting at high level

Brussels, 31/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - Australia's Foreign Minister Alexander Downer will meet Portugal's Foreign Minister and EU Council President Jaime Gama, on Wednesday in Lisbon, in the framework of the twice-yearly EU/Australia political dialogue meetings. The discussion is expected to focus essentially on the situation in Indonesia, as Australia pursues international contacts to ensure support for Indonesian President Wahid.
