ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) hotels

The British group BASS, which controls the Holiday Inn, Intercontinental and Crowne Plaza chains, will be paying AUD 313.1 million for the Australian SPHC -SOUTHERN PACIFIC HOTELS CORP. With this acquisition, BASS will own 161 hotels with more than 40,000 rooms in the Asia-Pacific region.
