Brussels, 18/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - On 27 and 28 January in Brussels, the European Commission is organising "Contact and Information" days on the EC action programme on vocational training, Leonardo da Vinci II (2000-2006). Under the chairmanship of Mrs Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Education and Culture, these days will begin with a plenary session attended by MEPs and Council members. They will allow participants to discover the many possibilities provided by this programme, to gain detailed information on the first call for proposals under the second phase (that will be valid for three years, and should be published before the end of January 2000), to meet other project partners, to consult the Commission and to make contact with staff from national agencies. Finally, in the context of these days, workshops will be organised on the following themes: mobility, pilot projects, language skills, transnational networks, reference material, dissemination and capitalisation of results and Europass.
