ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) pharmaceuticals

Making a public takeover bid via its Japanese subsidiary NIPPON BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM, the German group BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM will be boosting its presence in the Japanese firm SSP from 19.6% to 33.4%. Launched on 17 January, the bid of 1,100 yens a share is valid until 15 February. It values SSP at around JPY 134.6 billion.
