Italy's ENI will be acquiring a 33.34% stake in the Portuguese firm GALP for EUR 964 million. It will buy 11% from the Portuguese state and 22.34% from the holding company PETROCONTROL, made up of private Portuguese shareholders. In addition, the Portuguese state will sell 4% of GALP to the Spanish electricity company IBERDROLA and PETROCONTROL will simultaneously sell its remaining 11% to EDP -ELECTRICIDADE DE PORTUGAL.
