13/05/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 13 May, the European Commission launched a call for expression of interest to join the first-ever European Housing Alliance announced in the context of the European Housing Plan (see EUROPE 13774/23), according to a press release. The initiative aims to mobilise “the stakeholders around efforts to address the housing crisis, which is impacting millions of Europeans”. The Alliance will bring together national, regional and local authorities, as well as housing stakeholders and EU institutions. “It will facilitate cooperation, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices to tackle together the challenges of the housing affordability crisis across the EU”.
