Maltese Eugène Buttigieg reappointed as judge at EU General Court until end of August 2031

06/05/2026 (Agence Europe) – The ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) have renewed the term of office of the Maltese Eugène Buttigieg as a judge at the General Court of the EU until 31 August 2031. This appointment is part of the partial renewal of the General Court, the terms of office of 26 judges having expired at the end of August 2025. Mr Buttigieg has held the post since October 2012 (see EUROPE 12266/21). (MB)
