24/04/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Friday, 24 April, the European Commission announced that the EU Global Youth Sounding Board (YSB) had been renewed. The new cohort will sit from April 2026 to April 2028; it brings together 25 young leaders aged 18 to 30 who are from 25 countries across sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. In its press release, the institution explained that the YSB, which was launched in 2021, provides the European Commission with structured advice from young people around the world on subjects like migration and mobility as well as global challenges like climate change and digitalisation. This group also makes it possible to work with local youth advisory committees set up by EU delegations in more than 50 partner countries—thus ensuring that local perspectives contribute to EU decision-making at the global level.
